breathable linens

World of Dreams introduces its new product line “Breathable Linen!” This unique material, “Breathable Linen,” is just now emerging onto the world’s market as an exceptional, “breathable” filler for blankets!

Linen, made from natural flax fibers, is a perfect quality blanket filler. The Latin word for linen, “Linum Usitatissimum,” literally means “the healthiest.”

There is no other material with such “breathability” as linen. Therfore, linen is considered to be the best “breathing” material. A linen blanket is recommended for people who are hot natured and often perspire or break out in a sweat. This is also the recommended fabric for hot dry weather. Materials made of linen are considered invaluable in countries with hot dry climates because linen blankets are considered perfect for summer and at the same time, warm enough for winter.

Linen does not trigger allergies and more importantly, even aids in the treatment of allergies. You can learn more about this under the subheading “Breathable Cotton.” The characteristics of “Breathable Linen” are very similar to those of “Breathable Cotton”, having many advantages in common.

Linen fibers ensure ideal comfort and complete rest while you sleep. Unfortunately, though, regular linen is not as soft and light as natural wool. Therefore, the need arose to develop a linen material with comparable softness and lightness as natural wool. The result is “Breathable Linen”. By means of a highly technical processing of flax fibers (linen) with an additional small amount of synthetic hypo-allergenic fibers (about 30%) we have produced a product that is outstandingly soft and lightweight.

  • “Breathable Linen” has many unique characteristics. When compared with other natural and synthetic materials “Breathable Linen” will almost always come out as the better option. Note the following examples:
  • - Linen helps prevent a number of illnesses. Linen has rare bacteriological characteristics which act as a natural anti-septic. No bacteria or fungus can live in linen. These bacteriological characteristics suppress dangerous micro-flores and kill infection. It was discovered a long time ago that wounds wrapped in linen bandages heal quicker. Linen fabrics help alleviate itchiness and skin disorders, and aids in the elimination of many types of skin irritations;
  • - Linen nicely absorbs any moisture the body might put off and, at the same time, dries very quickly. Even if 20% of the linen fabric is consumed with moisture, the linen fabric will, nonetheless, feel practically dry;
  • - In the heat, linen works as an air conditioner. Linen can reduce body temperature by 3-4? C (this is more than any other blanket made of natural fiber) and prevents overheating;
  • - Linen is very compatible with the human body. A person’s blood cells can take in, and without residue, dissolve linen cells. Linen is, therefore, the number one natural material used in surgery for suturing (for everything, including intravenous), not requiring subsequent cuts;
  • - Linen products are machine washable, withstanding both mechanical strain and temperature changes.

These and other linen characteristics make linen both healthy and comfortable.
